The biggest benefits of doing the traineeship for me are the skills and knowledge and qualifications I will gain. The Redmako training has already given me new skills and knowledge.Training with Redmako is fun, as well as educational. It’s not boring and I don’t dread it like normal classes at school. The training sessions are one of the best parts of my traineeship. And the website for doing my unit tests is really easy to use.I would highly recommend training with Redmako.
Working with Redmako was a really genuine experience for me. My trainee has brought lots of benefits to my store.Ryan Yusuf is the owner of Raka’s Royal Indian Cuisine at Strathpine. He currently has one trainee, Ben, a school-based trainee who is completing a Certificate III in Hospitality.Through his traineeship, Ben has implemented five new initiatives into the restaurant:
We asked Ryan a few questions about his experience working with Redmako and having a Redmako trainee in his restaurant. Here’s what he had to say:“Working with Redmako was a really genuine experience for me because everything was laid out beforehand, everything was on time, I was given the plan of my trainee’s study and things like that. You guys really followed the plan and I didn’t have any hiccups at all, which is really good.My trainee’s assignments/traineeship has benefited my store as it was helpful for me for other staff just to quickly have a look at the sign. Our service was much quicker and more accurate because the service times were already on the wall. And it helped us get some more business because people can see our fees and charges and they were happy to join in. So it benefited us both ways – time wise and also business wise.My biggest benefit in having a trainee would be that I think I also get to learn a bit more about the industry because usually I work by myself or with only a few people, but having a trainee means the training course is more in my mind. So it has helped to increase my team.Working with the Redmako trainer was fantastic – because Deidre is always very communicative and she always lets me know when she is coming, and if it’s inconvenient timing she always makes sure that she changes the time so it is convenient for me and for her and for Ben as well. She has been fantastic.Depending on the business it’s really worth taking Redmako trainees on board and it kind of does boost up the business as well a little bit. I would definitely recommend yes, to take them on board.”
- Created and advertised appropriate delivery prices for restaurant orders being delivered. He took the time to source correct information on areas where restaurant orders were delivered to, ensuring the restaurant gets the money they need to cover delivery costs. Before this, the store never had any clear delivery areas or prices.
- Customer feedback forms to help the restaurant understand their customers better.
- Social media marketing through Facebook deals, to bring in more customers.
- Minimum Eftpost payments sign, as this was causing some customer conflict.
- Workplace health and safety ideas which resulted in the restaurant purchasing a new fire extinguisher.
If you’re considering training with Redmako: do it – overall, you will benefit from it.The biggest benefit of doing a traineeship is the experience and having something to show for it at the end. My favourite part of the training has been the experience. The training sessions are really good, I really enjoy them. I’ve got more knowledge about the workplace. Each session I had was tonnes of fun and I learnt about my course in a friendly environment! The sessions were sufficient and informative yet fun and enjoyable.Redmako was the company that had previously trained other staff members at my workplace and we were pleased with the training that they gave us so we continued (and still continue) to train with Redmako. The key benefit of working with them is their familiarity with our workplace due to previous training. They come to us for the training sessions!Previously, I had little knowledge of food but now I can follow through with safe work procedures – to prevent harm from staff members and customers. Redmako’s trainers provided me with knowledge of safe food storage and cross-contamination and safe cleaning procedures as well as other laws within the food industry such as the anti-discrimination act. As a result, I can now understand all of the food and drink laws and regulations. Each session I had was tonnes of fun and I learnt about my course in a friendly environment! My staff member knew nothing at the beginning. Now because of her training with Redmako, I am very confident in her.Renee started to work at Muffin Break Mt Ommaney in November 2012. It was her first job, so she didn’t know anything at the beginning. Initially I would only let her do dishwashing and cleaning jobs other than basic customer service. When she began training with Redmako, she started to improve a lot. Now, she can do excellent customer service – I am very confident with her now. After she got training in making coffee (through the Redmako traineeship), she understood the basic knowledge of coffee, so we started to practice lots on making coffee. Now she can make great coffee and I let her make coffees every time she works. I would like to say thanks to Michael (the trainer) and Redmako. Michael is an awesome trainer and he did an excellent job.
I’ve worked in Hospitality for many years…this course has opened my eyes to things I never thought of.My experience working with Redmako was fabulous.I have worked in Hospitality for many years though never received formal training. This course has opened my eyes to things I never thought of or wasn’t sure of. The course has made me understand things are more complex then they seem. I am very happy I did the training with Redmako. My trainer Deidre is probably one of the most lovely people I have ever met. She always has a smile and talks to me like I am a friend, not just someone she has to see for work. I feel I can ask her anything – she is very knowledgeable and doesn’t make me feel silly if she has to explain something to me.The best thing about training with Redmako is that I can do the study when I have time. I have regular meetings with my trainer to ask questions and to have that support there. Sometimes it can be a bit daunting if left on your own for study, but this way I’m always getting stuff done. The biggest benefit of doing a traineeship is the confidence in knowing that the job you are doing is going to be done right because you have the required skills and are properly informed. If other students or employees were considering training with Redmako I’d tell them to go for it. You will be glad you did.
I’m so grateful for all the new knowledge I have learnt from the course and Andy’s (my trainer) work life experiences.I owe you guys SO much. Seriously, I would never have been so motivated if it wasn’t for Redmako, if I had been able to see where I am from a year ago I would never have believed it.

The option of online models, which helps with having my set work available at home, is a key benefit of working with Redmako for me. Also, it was easy to use! Another key benefit was having the trainer come into my workplace which made my training a lot easier for me as any questions about my workplace or models was easier and faster to answer.I would advice anyone considering working with Redmako to stay on top of your workbooks and not to worry about any problems you have with the training because your trainer can always help you with the answer.I now am confident when working in the hospitality work sectors. After finishing all my training, I have confident knowledge within beverage making, health and safety and other small factors which I didn’t know before.I would recommend this experience to everyone as Redmako is a reliable and friendly training provider which ensured me that I would be able to finish my qualification confidently.
